With Activepublishing, a single platform for centralising your data, managing your briefs, the pages generated or exported, and monitoring production:

1. Briefs: Whatever the type of publication, with few or many pages, simply create the briefs for your catalogues manually or automatically from an Excel file

2. Products: Synchronised with your PIM, access your products, images, ads... to place them on the pages

3. Pages: Arrange products, blocks, free elements, etc. directly in your browser and export to HD CMYK PDF or to Adobe InDesign® CC, Mac/PC, to finalise the layout.
InDesign® files remain connected to update data as required.

What types of catalogue is Active Publishing designed for?

The solution is suitable for all types of catalogue. For high-pagination catalogues, we use the ‘Paginate’ function, which automatically generates page briefs by placing products in them, from an Excel file or the PIM tree structure, for proofreading and correction before automatic page generation in Adobe InDesign®. For smaller publications, direct marketing, leaflets, etc. Products can be dragged and dropped into the pages and then arranged as you would in Adobe InDesign® before exporting in HD CMYK PDSF format with markers.

For which versions of InDesign is the plugin available?

The automatic page generation plugin is available for all versions of InDesign CC Mac & PC (2014 to 2024)

Which PIM is the Active Publishing solution compatible with?

The solution is compatible with all PIM/MDMs equipped with an API. The connectors currently available are for PimCore, Akeneo and Deck PIM.

Are CMYK HD PDFs converted from RGB?

No, our solution uses native CMYK values, in product templates for example, as well as Pantones, if required. HD CMYK PDFs fully support OFFSET printing and manage 100% black, borders, marks, native CMYK, etc...

Can I update the InDesign files?

Files can be updated as required. Graphic settings (moving, resizing blocks, etc.) are retained when the file is updated.

Are real tables generated in Adobe InDesign?

Page generation in Adobe InDesign supports InDesign tables. All styles, tables, cells, paragraphs and objects are created automatically when the pages are generated so that they can be processed in batch.
